Arrest Made in Landover Armed Robbery Attempt

Ronald W. Morgan allegedly pulled a sawed-off shotgun out of his pants during the hold-up, according to police.

A man who allegedly pulled a shotgun out of his pants during an armed robbery attempt in a Landover parking lot in September was arrested on Wednesday, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. Ronald W. Morgan was arrested in the 4200 block of 58th Avenue in Bladensburg and charged with first- an second-degree assault, armed robbery and related charges for his alleged role in a hold-up along with two others. Morgan and two other suspects allegedly attempted to rob two victims on Sept. 22 in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Brightseat Road, according to a police account, with Morgan pulling a sawed-off shotgun from his pants and announcing the robbery.
