Friendly High School Student Dies in Fatal Ft. Washington Shooting

Marcus Antonia Jones, 16, died following a shooting Sunday, according to police.

  Counselors are available Tuesday for students at Friendly High School in Fort Washington following a fatal shooting of a classmate Sunday, according to a Prince George's County school official. There will be brief counseling in the account that students need assistance, said Briant Coleman, spokesman for Prince George's County Public Schools. Police officers found 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones suffering from an apparent gunshot wound on Sunday in the 7700 block of Webster Lane in Fort Washington. Police were called to the scene at midnight, according to a police press release. Lanham Man Killed in Targeted Shooting

The man died in his rental home on Old Franklin Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Prince George's County police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Lanham man in his rental home Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to a home in the 10100 block of Old Franklin Avenue around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of shooting. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to police, it was not a random crime, but detectives are working on identifying a motive and suspects. PGPD Cpl. Larry Johnson told The Gazette that the early investigation indicates the man was targeted. Police Search For Suspect in Fatal Shooting A suspect remains at large following the violent death of Alejandro Trevor Johnson, 37, of Glen Burnie, according to the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD). Police say they found Johnson fatally shot outside an apartment complex Sunday afternoon in Oxon Hill. An investigation revealed the shooting is a domestic-related incident, according to the PGPD.
