Six Flags Opens March 23, Offers New Dining Pass

Six Flags America opens March 23 in Upper Marlboro, MD; and this year it introduces a dining pass that covers lunch and dinner.

  Six Flags in Upper Marlboro will open on March 23, and this year is introducing a season dining pass, according to a company official. For the first time, patrons can pre-purchase season dining passes and get cheeseburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salads, chicken strips, pizza or other select menu items—without paying more than their purchase price, no matter how many days they visit in 2013, according to Havilah Ross, Six Flags spokeswoman. For $69.99, season and gold card pass holders can purchase the dining pass and have two meals per day per visit, according to Ross. Dining pass holders can select one meal item on the attached menu for lunch and one for dinner during valid meal times, according to Ross. But they will pay $1 to $2 …

Fright Fest Opens This Weekend

Six Flags America's spooky attraction will run through Oct. 28.

Boo!  The spookiest season of the year begins this Saturday with the opening of the Six Flags America Fright Fest in Upper Marlboro. Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights through Oct. 28, the park turns dark, scary dark, according to park officials. This year’s Fright by Night, Beware of the Awakening, turns the park into a terrifying hunting ground for the undead. There will be more than a dozen spooky attractions at this year’s event, including Blood Factory, Toxic Fallout, Road Rage Cage, Stage Fright and more. Those looking for a more family friendly fall celebration won’t want to miss Thrills by Day, which will feature friendly ghosts and goblins, and kid attractions including the Monster Mash Bash, a Halloween Dance Party…
