Commissioners Oppose Demolition of Schools

The public can learn more about the issue by attending a meeting on Thursday night at Trinity Church in Upper Marlboro.

A public informational meeting is scheduled Thursday night to discuss Prince George's County government's plans to demolish two historic schools in Upper Marlboro. A resolution passed at Tuesday night’s town meeting objects to the demolition. Old Marlboro Primary School and Old Marlboro High School are located at 14524 Elm St. The Town of Upper Marlboro Board of Commissioners urged the county to restore the schools in an effort to preserve the town's historic heritage.
