Former MPD Officer Convicted Of Stealing Her Brother's Identity

Jamell Stallings faces a sentence of 150 years for using her Brandywine, MD, brother's identity to get loans, according to prosecutors.

  A former Metropolitan Police Department officer from Brandywine, MD, has been convicted of counterfeiting, identity fraud and theft, after stealing her brother's identity, prosecutors announced Tuesday. Jamell Stallings, 46, stole and used her brother's identity to apply for loans, according to Angela Alsobrooks, Prince George's County State's Attorney. Stallings, who is scheduled to be sentenced on April 2, faces a maximum sentence of 150 years, according to prosecutors. “Police officers take an oath to serve and protect the citizens of the jurisdictions in which they work,” Alsobrooks said.  “Ms. Stallings not only violated that oath, she went even lower by taking advantage of her own brother to live a lavish lifestyle."  Stalling's …

Employee Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud, Identity Theft at Nonprofit

Penny Parker Green, of Bowie, pleads guilty to stealing $166,000 from group that aids families with mentally disabled members.

Bowie resident Penny Parker Green, 34, pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges of aggravated identity theft and wire fraud for stealing $166,000 from Arc of Prince George’s County and up to 72 residents while she was employed there. Arc of Prince George’s County is a nonprofit based in Largo that provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, according to their website. Services provided include day care, employment services and in-home support. The U.S. Department of Justice said the plea agreement also states that Green had other employees withdraw cash for residents’ bank accounts for her personal uses and that she stole petty cash intended for residents for her personal use.
