What Are You Doing to Cope with the Heat?
Patch asks, "How hot is it?"
News flash—it's hot outside. But life goes on. People around Greater Annapolis have been doing what they can to cool off, and it seems most people are taking the heat warnings to heart. Quiet Waters Park was nearly empty of its usually groups of walkers, bikers and dog park visitors. County fields were empty. Patch caught up with a family at the Hillsmere beach doing what they could to stay cool. Brandon Mackel and Toni Clayton of Annapolis were enjoying the afternoon with their aunt, Marina Brown, as the little ones splashed in the water. "It's the hottest day of the year and you have to do what you can," Brown said. "And you have to do what you can to occupy the kids on the hottest day of the year."
