This Sunday, May 12 is Mother's Day. If your mom enjoys a good Eggs Benedict, fruit salad, or other scrumptious brunch fare, you're in luck: there are plenty of good options in Prince George's County. Below, we round up a few. T.J. Elliott's in Bowie offers breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday, including Mother's Day. I made a reservation for the Calvert House Inn for the Mother's Day Brunch with my niece. When we arrived we were told there was NO Mother's Day Brunch, they didn't advertise a brunch and were serving a full dinner menu, not even a lunch menu. Could New FBI Headquarters Come to Prince George's County?

In November 2012, the General Services Administration (GSA) announced a search for real estate consultants to seek suitable locations to move the FBI’s headquarters from 935 Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest Washington to a more suburban location, including several in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties. Numerous locations have been mentioned for the federal law enforcement agency, according to a recent article in the Washington Business Journal. The story cited a Washington Post report that the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority (WMATA )was considering offering the 78-acre site at the Greenbelt Metro Station. Officials Identify Female Victim in Fatal Greenbelt Fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A Greenbelt woman died when a row house on Laurel Hill Court caught on fire, according to Prince George's County Fire Department. Betty M. Starry, 86, from Greenbelt died in the fire Dec. 28. The circumstances surrounding the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.

Prince George's Redistricting Plan Set for Final Vote

The Prince George's County Council is set to hold a Nov. 1 public hearing on redistricting followed by a vote.

A plan to redraw the political districts in Prince George's County cleared a major hurdle earlier this week when the Prince George's County Council set a Nov. 1 public hearing for the plan, to be followed by a final vote. According to federal law, redrawing district lines occurs every 10 years in accordance with U.S. Census data. The nine districts in Prince George’s County must be equal in population and not change more or less than 5 percent in population, according to law. County planners have been holding hearings for months for input on how to redraw district lines. A final draft emerged for introduction on Tuesday.
