Kettering Community Gathers To Learn More About Amber Stanley's Slaying
County police met with more than 100 residents Monday night to talk about the case.
More than 100 residents showed up Monday evening at the Kettering Community Center to learn more about the killing of a vivacious teen— a case police say has left them without many leads. According to The Washington Post, Prince George’s Deputy Police Chief Craig Howard said police don't believe the shooting was random, but they still don't have a suspect or a motive for the killing. Howard also wanted to assure residents that their neighbor was safe, the Post reporting that there were "only three violent crimes so far this year." Prince George's County Police are hoping that by reaching out to the public, they may received more information that could lead to an arrest, WUSA9 reported.
