Update: Friday Morning Highway Closures
The Maryland State Highway Administration reported some roads are still closed.
Update, Sept. 9, 9:30 a.m.: The Maryland State Highway Administration reported the following roads remain closed: MD 381 Mattawoman Drive to Missouri Avenue MD 725 between US 301 and Gov. Oden Bowie Drive US 301 between MD 725 and MD 4 US 301 NB AT MD 4 NB They also reported that on MD 5 NB between Accokeek Road and Brandywine Road, the right lane is closed Update, 6:15 p.m.: The National Weather Service (NWS) said radar indicated another round of showers and thunderstorms is developing over southern Maryland. It responded by extending the flood warning until 8:30 p.m. for Prince George’s County and much of the area. A flash flood watch will remain in effect until 2 a.m. Friday for Prince George’s County and much of the area, as well. …
