After deliberating for less than three hours, the jury in the Bowie State murder trial has just delivered a verdict of not guilty on all counts for defendant Alexis Simpson, according to a spokesperson for Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks. Simpson was on trial for the September 2011 murder of her fomer Bowie State University roommate Dominique Frazier. Alsobrooks is “stunned” and “disappointed” with the verdict, according to the spokesperson, but still respects the verdict and the system. So Tell Us: Do you agree or disagree with the jury? The state rested its case against Alexis Simpson on Wednesday after one witness claimed that the stabbing with which Simpson is charged may have been an accident, reported WJLA. Simpson, 20, is facing first-degree murder charges after allegedly stabbing her former Bowie State University roommate Dominique Frazier, 18, to death on Sept. 15, 2011 after a fight over loud music escalated to violence. Keaira Johnson, who witnessed the stabbing, said Johnson was the aggressor in the brutal punching and hair-pulling fight, but she also admitted to police this week that she was worried Frazier would stab Simpson, reported to WJLA. Alexis Simpson, 20, will face murder charges for allegedly stabbing roommate Dominique Frazier, 18, to death.
Jury selection in the Alexis Simpson Bowie State murder case concluded Thursday and opening arguments are scheduled to begin Tuesday, according to Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s office. Simpson, now 20, is charged with stabbing her roommate, Dominique Frazier, 18, to death on Sept. 15, 2011. Both women were students at Bowie State University. According to police, the two women had an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Police responded to a call of a cutting in the Christa McAuliffe Residential Community where they found Frazier bleeding and unconscious in the hallway of the building, police said. She was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Simpson was released on bond in April …

It's sad that this young vivacious young lady had to loose her life at such a tender age with everything in the world going for her but it's even sadder that ,now not only does this other young lady has to live with the stigma of being a murderer ,but she also has to live with the fact that she went threw it all .let's pray for them both and families.   more ›
