Show Place Arena Will Host College Hoops Tourney
The Colonial Athletic Association women's field moves to Upper Marlboro for a four-day run in March.
March Madness is just around the corner and Upper Marlboro, the home of several Division I college players, will play a part next month when Show Place Arena hosts the Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball tournament from March 10-13. The title game will be 1 p.m., March 13 and will be shown on Comcast SportsNet. The winner gains an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The single-elimination tourney begins at noon on March 10 with the first of four games. There will be four more games on March 11 and two semifinal games on March 12, at noon and 2:30 p.m. The CAA event is also slated to be held at Show Place in 2012. The closest CAA schools to Upper Marlboro are George Mason in Virginia and Towson University near Baltimore. …
