A greater Upper Marlboro man was arrested at his home on Wednesday in connection with a bank robbery and admitted his involvement, Prince George's police said. Robert Alonzo Robinson, 43, of the 3500 block of Eyre Drive South, allegedly approached a teller and passed a note demanding money at a Sun Trust Bank in greater Upper Marlboro on Feb. 15, police said. The suspect did not have a weapon nor threaten to have a weapon when he robbed the bank, according to Officer Nicole Hubbard, Prince George's County Police spokeswoman. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, located in the 5700 block of Crain Highway, according to police. Robinson is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.

Crime Solvers has announced a cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment.
Prince George's County police are asking the public's help to identify a suspect caught on surveillance in the Feb. 15 robbery of a SunTrust Bank in greater Upper Marlboro. They are also investigating whether the suspect was armed during the robbery, according to Christina Cotterman, Prince George's police spokeswoman. Police said at around 1 p.m., the suspect passed a note demanding money to a teller at the SunTrust in the 5700 block of Crain Highway. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. Police have released surveillance photographs of the suspect and describe him as a man in his 40s, roughly 5-foot-8, and between 160 and 170 pounds. A suspect wearing a medical mask and plastic gloves robbed the PNC Bank located inside the Crain Highway Giant last week.
A man wearing a white medical mask and plastic gloves robbed the PNC Bank at 3500 Crain Hwy inside of the Giant grocery store on Thursday, according to a police report. At around 7:20 p.m. on Dec. 20, Bowie police responded to a holdup alarm at the PNC Bank on Crain Highway located inside of the Giant grocery store. A bank employee told police that a man entered the bank wearing a medical mask and gloves. The suspect opened his jacket to reveal what the bank employee believed to be a handgun and demanded money. The bank employee handed over the money and the suspect fled on foot. Police locked down the store to search for the suspect, but he was not found in the store, according to the report. There needs to be miniature yet POWERFUL explosive devices, NOT harmless dye packs, inbedded in the money given to bank robbers. The timer needs to be SHORT, maybe about 3 mins MAX to lessen the chance of innocents being injured. The treasury can just print REPLACEMENT bills!!!
