Man beat his roommate with a wooden club, according to police.
A 62-year-old Capitol Heights man was arrested in the death of his roommate, Prince George's County Police report. Luke Osei-Kwame, of the 1100 block of Adeline Way in Capitol Heights, is charged with first -degree murder and related charges. According to the report, police officers responded to a call in the 1100 block of Adeline Way on March 18 at 8:13 p.m. for a report of an assault. When they arrived they found 59-year-old Anthony Taylor suffering from trauma to the upper body. Taylor was taken to a local hospital but died two days later. Emmanuel Adegoke allegedly assaulted a female, choking and punching her, according to the Prince George's Sheriff's Office.
Prince George's County sheriff's deputies arrested a man who allegedly assaulted a female in Upper Marlboro more than a week ago, choking and punching her, then chasing her with a knife, according to the sheriff's office. Thirty-one-year-old Emmanuel Adegoke of Upper Marlboro was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for first-degree assault, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies found Adegoke in the 100 block of Independence Avenue in Washington DC. He was apprehended without incident, the sheriff's office reported. Adegoke allegedly assaulted the victim on Jan 20 at a residence in the 9600 block of Marilyn Ivy Court. The victim escaped the residence and contacted police. Sheriff's deputies apprehended Kenneth Ferguson in Capitol Heights, MD, on an arrest warrant for first degree assault, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. Ferguson and another male suspect allegedly physically assaulted a male victim at the 500 block of Cedarleaf Ave. in Capitol Heights, according to the warrant, which was obtained on Nov. 20. The other male suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim; then he and Ferguson fled, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies from the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect last week on a warrant for first degree assault issued earlier this month. According to police, Cordell Blackwell was in the 8600 block of Cryden Way in Capitol Heights on Nov. 16 when he got into a verbal dispute with another person. Blackwell is accused of pulling out a handgun and threatening the life of the other man. Though he reportedly fled the scene of the incident, he was later identified by the victim. The sheriff's office said Cordell was apprehended without incident on Nov. 18 in the 3800 block of Blackwater Rd. in Clinton. Read more here.

Woman Hits Man's Face with Plate in Domestic Dispute Connie Davis was arrested early Wednesday morning on assault charges after a domestic dispute with a man who said Davis hit him in the face with a plate, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office (PGSO). Deputies responded to a call in the 1100 block of Chapel Wood Lane in Capitol Heights, where Davis and the victim lived, and the victim told them that a physical altercation had taken place with his girlfriend, according to the sheriff's office. Police arrest a man suspected of armed robbery. Suspect already was under investigation for previous assaults.
A man who allegedly robbed three people at gunpoint and stole their car and other belongings was arrested Friday on an armed robbery warrant. Officials say Roberto Miles robbed the three individuals before pepper spraying them in a hotel in Largo, Md. on June 12. Police investigating the crimes were led to the 3200 block of Walters Lane in Forestville, Md., where they were able to find Miles and take him into custody. He was then transported to the Prince George’s County Correctional Center and is being held without bail. Miles was also under investigation for a previous crime in which he allegedly robbed a man and woman at gunpoint at the same hotel on May 16. A 17-year-old Fort Washington boy was convicted by a Prince George's County Circuit Court jury Wednesday of assault, according to online court records. Follow Upper Marlboro Patch on Facebook and Twitter. Deven Angel Matos of the 1600 block of Thomas Road was accused of shooting a 23-month-old in the face in August, according to WUSA9.
