Victim walks into hospital seeking aid for gunshot wound from Brandywine robbery.
Prince George's County Police are asking the public for help finding a man wanted in a shooting and armed robbery Tuesday in Brandywine. Authorities are looking for Terry Lynn Savoy, 43, also known as Terry Lynn Brown, who has no fixed address. Savoy is charged with first degree assault, and police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call them. The victim walked into an area hospital for help after being robbed and shot in the 14200 block of Gibbons Church Road, according to police. The victim and suspect are acquaintances. Authorities say a woman was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night near the University of Maryland's Chemical/Nuclear Engineering Building. According to University of Maryland police, the victim was walking through parking lot around 10:40 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown male. The suspect reportedly pulled out a handgun and demanded the woman's valuables. She complied, handing over cash, gift cards, and other personal items. The man then fled the area on Paint Branch Drive, police said. He was described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, and a covering on his face. A man who allegedly pulled a shotgun out of his pants during an armed robbery attempt in a Landover parking lot in September was arrested on Wednesday, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. Ronald W. Morgan was arrested in the 4200 block of 58th Avenue in Bladensburg and charged with first- an second-degree assault, armed robbery and related charges for his alleged role in a hold-up along with two others. Morgan and two other suspects allegedly attempted to rob two victims on Sept. 22 in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Brightseat Road, according to a police account, with Morgan pulling a sawed-off shotgun from his pants and announcing the robbery. A suspect wanted for a July 10 armed robbery was arrested Monday.
The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Terrance Stevenson—a suspect on the "Sheriff's Most Wanted" list. Stevenson is suspected in an alleged armed robbery in Glenarden in July. He was arrested Monday, the sheriff's office reported. According to the sheriff's warrant, Stevenson allegedly robbed a man in the 8600 block of Leslie Avenue on July 10 by sticking a gun in his face and forcing him to fall over. Two other suspects then stole property from the victim, the warrant stated. Deputies learned of Stevenson's wherabouts in the 6300 block of Hillmar Drive in District Heights Monday. Prince George's County police have released a video from last week's stickup at East Pines Liquor Store in East Riverdale—one in an apparent string of local robberies. The incident occurred on Sept. 25 at around 7:20 a.m. As seen in the video, two suspects allegedly entered the store and pulled a gun on the employees. After restraining them, police said the pair stole cash from the register and fled the scene. The Prince George's Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a man that robbed eight people at a house party in Upper Marlboro home in July.
An Upper Marlboro man was arrested and charged Friday in an armed robbery that occurred at a house party in Upper Marlboro. Sheriff's deputies arrested Shawn Owen-Sellers at a home on the 6100 block of Ivey Ridge Court. According to the warrant, Owen-Sellers, along with other suspects, allegedly robbed eight people of nearly $2,000 worth of property at a party in the 12000 block of Green Tee Turn on July 25. Owen-Sellers was charged with eight counts of first degree assault, eight counts of armed robbery and use of a firearm during a violent crime. He's being held in the county's Department of Corrections, deputies reported.
