Interested in adopting a dog? Well October is the month to make a new furry friend as it's National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. The Prince George's County Animal Management Division is taking part in the celebration by waiving all adoption, shots and microchip fees for any dog adopted from the shelter through Oct. 31. That's a savings of $100. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), more than three million dogs are currently in shelters across the United States and are in need of a good home.
