Upper Marlboro Native Uses Basketball to Ease the Pain

While Upper Marlboro is politically-charged, the town is still an unabashed basketball haven, as many notable ball players have come from this region.

Today, ESPN The Magazine has a cool story about Thomas Robinson, who attended three years ago before transferring to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. 

Robinson, a center on the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team, has endured the deaths of his grandparents and his mother, Lisa, in a short time period. As the story suggests, the imposing Upper Marlboro native uses basketball to get him through the tough times.
