Three PGCPS Students Named Carson Scholars

They will be awarded on April 7 along with 425 nationwide.

Three Prince George's County Public School students have been name Carson scholars.

“It is an honor to have our students inducted into the Carson Scholars program,” Alvin Crawley, Interim Superintendent of Schools, said. “The scholarship awarded to students will support their continued academic success in college.”

  • Cindy Diaz, Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School
  • Benjamin Hung, Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School
  • Dhiren Lutchman, Chesapeake Math & Information Technology Academy.

The students were nominated by their schools based on their high academic acheivement and commitment to their communities. They join 425 students nationwide for this award. 

The students will receive a $1,000 in college scholarships on April 7 during the 17th Annual Awards Banquet at Martin’s West in Baltimore.
