Here are some tips to get you through the first week of school.

1. Are you an eleventh hour kind of person? Here’s a tool to help you find your school bus stop.

2. Prince George’s County Public Schools suggested parents walk students to the bus stop on the first day of school.

3. On the off-chance that you haven’t picked up all the items on your student’s school supply list, check out what your kids need to succeed this year.

4. Parents should now be able to access student schedules on the SchoolMax Family Portal. Students who were not registered by Aug. 12 will not have a school schedule until Aug. 26. Your child will be placed in general classes with appropriate grade levels until their schedule is determined.

5. Check out the 2011-2012 school year calendar on the county schools’ website.
