Spring Tree I.D. Nature Hike

A Merkle naturalist will accompany hikers interested in learning about native tree species and teach them how to identify such trees by their leaves. The program is free; no advance registration is required. Weather-appropriate attire, comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.

Please note: The bridge on Fenno Road to Merkle is closed for repairs until further notice. From 301, take Croom Road. Instead of turning onto St. Thomas Church Road (as suggested by most GPS units and maps) continue on Croom Road, then make a left onto Nottingham Road and a left onto Fenno Road. Merkle will be on the right.
