County Website Pairs Teens with Summer Jobs, Training

Prince George's County youths between the ages of 15 and 19 may register online for free job readiness training and job opportunities.

Prince George’s County is launching its Youth@Work/Summer Youth Enrichment Program to help pair teens with jobs and mentors.

“We are committed to ensuring that our youth are engaged in meaningful and enriching activities during the summer months,” said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. “Providing job opportunities for youth means more than just giving them something to do as a way to earn extra cash. The opportunities being provided in this enhanced summer jobs program also will educate and inspire them to think about their future careers, introduce them to potential mentors, and will create memories and provide lessons that will last a lifetime.”

County youth, between the ages of 15 and 19, may register online for free job readiness training, which will be provided by the Prince George's Community College in partnership with the Prince George's County Public Schools.
