Community College Launches Financial Aid TV

Prince George's Community College in Largo is one of seven schools to implement new peer-to-peer TV service.

in Largo is one of seven colleges in Maryland to implement Financial Aid TV (FATV), an online video service that allows students in Upper Marlboro and beyond to learn more about financial aid.

With the TV program, local students can receive financial aid information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Under the format, college officials can speak with students online to help them apply for financial aid.

“FATV provides us with another way to communicate with students who are applying for aid,” Sharon Hassan, director of financial aid, said in a statement.  “Our investment in this new peer-to-peer video format will help them to achieve their completion goals.”
