Upper Marlboro Resident Nominated for Acting County Attorney Position

M. Andree Green's appointment must be approved by the County Council.

Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III has nominated Upper Marlboro resident M. Andree Green as Acting County Attorney, according to government officials.

Baker (D) also appointed retired Judge William D. Missouri as Special Legal Counsel to the Office of the County Executive. Both nominations must be approved by the Prince George's County Council.  

“Ms. Green has an impeccable record over the last decade of her work with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission,” Baker said in a statement. “She is a talented and intelligent attorney as well as a dedicated legal advocate for Prince George’s County tax payers and their fiscal and quality of life interests.”

Green, a 20-year attorney, will serve as the county’s lead attorney and act as director of the county's law office. She is a 1984 graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, earning a B.A. in Business Administration. In 1991, she graduated from The American University, Washington College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree.  

Judge Missouri recently served as Vice Chairman of the county's Accountability, Compliance and Integrity (ACI) Board. If approved by the council, he will provide consultation on the legal framework of the Prince George’s County Government and will help develop and goals to enhance accountability and compliance in government operations.
