Upper Marlboro Man Running for Senate

Raymond Blagmon says Maryland needs a leader unafraid to speak out against major problems.

Despite headlines to the contrary, it appears Maryland Senator C. Anthony Muse isn't the only person vying for U.S. Senator Ben Cardin's Congressional seat.

On his website, Upper Marlboro resident Raymond Blagmon says he's running for U.S. Senate because he "believes in public service." He also thinks the country should do more to create jobs, balance the budget, and bring down overall debt.

"Service to our country will be a central theme in my campaign," Blagmon, an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves, said in a statement on his website. "Republicans talk about cutting the budget and then offer no real solutions. My campaign message is focused on my life experiences, service to our country and creating jobs, that simple."
