The Special Election in Pictures

Although the turnout was low, plenty of voters made it to the polls on Tuesday.

Tuesday was a special day for District 6 residents, as they ventured to the polls to vote for new representation on the County Council. Derrick L. Davis ultimately won the primary and moves on to the general election. District 6 is heavily Democratic, so it appears as if Davis will hold the seat.

The polls remained open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rain kept many voters away early on Tuesday. By the evening, voter traffic increased. Here's the day in pictures.
