Update: Woman Found in Upper Marlboro Blaze Dies

A woman found unconcious Sunday in an Upper Marlboro house fire remains in critical condition as of 5 p.m. Sunday, according to Prince George's County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady.

This fire was one of the three blazes that broke out across Prince George's County Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called out to a home in the 12800 block of Peachleaf Court in Upper Marlboro near Largo Road around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to Brady.

The fire, which started in the basement of the two-story home, was extinguished quickly, he said, however firefighters located an unconcious woman inside.

She was treated on scene and then rushed to a local hospital, Brady said.

The fire cause about $30,000 in damage and although the cause is still under investigation, Brady said, early signs point to it being accidental.
