A roundup of stories you may have missed this week

Thanksgiving was certainly active this year. If you missed our headlines, here's a summary of what happened in your backyard this week.

1. Upper Marlboro resident was arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery after he and another suspect allegedly robbed the Popeyes restaurant in Mitchellville. According to police, the robbers demanded money, made the employees go into a walk-in freezer, then fled the scene.

2. Upper Marlboro resident Andre Matlock are being called heroes after they saved a woman from a burning car on Thanksgiving morning. The woman was injured and unable to get out of the car after an accident at the intersection of Watkins Park Drive and Keverton Drive in Upper Marlboro.

3. . "If one of the prosecutors are able to bring someone like me down, they brag their whole career, 'I prosecuted Jack Johnson,'" Johnson says with a laugh in the video.

4. , 35, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing last week in Oxon Hill. He was arrested Monday in Lanham and is being held without bond by the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro.

5. Upper Marlboro residents were arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Crofton last week. Three men reportedly approached a 30-year-old man on the steps of an apartment building in the  community.
