The department's warrant apprehension unit is actively looking for Tamicia Renea Hager, 26, according to department spokeswoman Erin Julius on Monday.

Hager was released on mandatory supervision from the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup as though she had served her full sentence—however she only served the sentence for conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon and theft, but not the second sentence for burglary, according to Julius.

"Apparently the offender’s maximum expiration date was not updated when the offender received an additional sentence while incarcerated," Julius stated. "She was released according to her first sentence."

Hager started serving time on Feb. 11, 2011, but her second sentence started on Nov. 29, 2011 and held statutory limitations on release dates because it was a violent crime, Julius stated.

Mandatory release is based on sentence length minus credits earned for things like conduct, jobs, programming, and etc., according to Julius.

The Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services issued a retake warrant for Hager following her erroneous release on Nov. 21, the department stated.

The department describes Hager as a 5'5" tall and 300 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and asks anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 911.
