US Park Police Search for Suspect in Prince George's Hit-and-Run

The fatal accident occurred more than two years ago in the Temple Hills neighborhood.

US Park Police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Temple Hills more than two years ago.

Sgt. Paul Brooks, with the US Park Police, said the department is trying to close the cold case and is hoping someone with information will come forward.

The accident occured around 12:11 a.m. on Sept. 10 on westbound Suitland Parkway at Naylor Road, police reported.

Ebony Tenise Johnson, 27, was struck and killed by a vehicle that did not stop when Johnson was trying to cross the intersection from the northwest corner of Naylor Road, police said.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a black pearl metallic Acura RL, also identified as an Acura 3.5L, from 1996 to 1999, police said. The paint color code is NH592P. Damage to the vehicle would include a missing right passenger side mirror, a right front headlight lens and cover. The car also had damage to the front right side.

The US Park Police is offering a reward to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest of the suspect driving the Acura. Anyone with information should call the US Park Police's Crime Tip Line at 202-610-8737.
