Upper Marlboro Man Dies is DC Hit-and-Run

The Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run accident that killed a 20-year-old Upper Marlboro, MD man.

Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took the life of a Upper Marlboro man earlier this month.

According to MPD, the crash occurred in the 100 block of M Street NE on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:38 p.m.

Police were flagged down after a 20-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk after he fell onto the roadway. DC Fire and EMS took the man to a local hospital but he died due to his injuries, police stated.

The victim was identified as Darnell Christopher Ross of Upper Marlboro, according to MPD's report.

The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain on scene, but police captured an image of vehicle involved and a passenger inside. (The images are attached to this post).

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
