Upper Marlboro Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Odenton

Police said Kwesi Duson Cozier struck another man with his car near the Annapolis Road bar, pinning him against a building.

Police arrested a man on attempted murder charges Sunday morning after he allegedly struck another man with his car near the My Place Bar & Lounge in Odenton. 

Anne Arundel County police said they responded shortly before 2:20 a.m. to the Annapolis Road bar and found a 36-year-old man lying on the ground.

Police said they investigated and found that the victim and another man had been fighting another over a woman they both knew. The other man, identified as 25-year-old Kwesi Duson Cozier of Upper Marlboro, struck the victim with his car and pinned him against a building, police said. 

The victim is in critical but stable condition at Shock Trauma.

Police said they found Cozier at Prince George's Hospital Center getting treatment for injuries he received in the fight. He was released and then charged with attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
