Upper Marlboro Man Charged in Sexual Assault Case

The 50-year-old MetroAccess driver was charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Metro Transit police arrested an Upper Marlboro man on sexual assault charges Wednesday, according to media reports.

Police said Ezra Porter, 50, of Upper Marlboro, reportedly interacted with a female passenger inappropriately on April 19, NBC4 reported.

The victim was assaulted in Bowie, police said, before Porter took her home.

Porter worked as a driver for three and a half years, NBC reported. He is employed by MV Transportation—a company that has a contract with MetroAccess to provide transportation service until June 30, 2013, WUSA9 reported.

Police were notified of the possible incident Friday by a family member, WUSA9 reported.
