Two Men Gunned Down in District Heights and Oxon Hill

Marvin Tomlinson and Andre Morton were shot more than an hour apart.

Prince George’s County police officers are investigating two homicides in District Heights and Oxon Hill, in which two men were shot and killed more than an hour apart on Tuesday.

At 9:38 p.m., officers went to the 2100 block of County Road in District Heights. Once they arrived, they found Marvin Tomlinson, 31, near a playground of an apartment complex. He was suffering from gunshot wounds. Tomlinson, who lived along the 6600 block of Atwood Street in District Heights, was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Then at 10:56 p.m., police officers went to the 700 block of Maury Avenue in Oxon Hill. There, they found Andre Morton, 51, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Morton, who lived along the 200 block of R Street in Northwest D.C., was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
