A Crime Solvers tip led detectives to the car of homicide victim, Keith Massaton Watson of Upper Marlboro, according to Prince George's police.

Police asked for the public's help Tuesday in finding the car of an Upper Marlboro man who was shot and killed Monday, according to Prince George's County police. On Thursday, police announced that the victim's stolen car was being processed for evidence after being recovered thanks to a Crime Solver's tip.

Officers responded at 12:55 p.m. Monday to a shooting in the 8500 block of Rainswood Drive in Landover. When they arrived, they discovered 48-year-old Keith Massaton Watson inside an industrial building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Watson, of the 9100 block of Grandhaven Avenue in Upper Marlboro, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police believe his 2004 black Audi A6 was taken during the homicide. They found the car abandoned in the 300 block of Hillside Terrace in Landover on Wednesday.
