Speed Camera Active Near Arrowhead Elementary

Are speed cameras doing the trick? Or is it just a money maker for the county?

If you plan to drive along Sansbury Road this week, you'd better slow down. As indicated in this featured tweet, the speed cameras near Arrowhead Elementary School are active and ready to cite speeding motorists.

In Prince George's County, citations are issued if you drive 12 miles per hour above the posted speed limit in school zones. Residents have debated the need for the speed cameras, arguing that they're used to generate revenue for the cash-strapped county. Others say the speed cameras are needed for pedestrian safety.
