Pr. George's Police Participate in 9/11 Ride This Weekend

The Prince George's County Police Department's Motors Unit will join agencies from around the county in the 12th Annual America's 9/11 Ride.

 

Officers in Prince George's County will participate in the 12th Annual America's 911 Ride this weekend commemorating the first responders and other victims who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Members of the county police Motors Unit will travel on motorcycles to each of the crash sites: Somerset, PA, the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, VA, and the World Trade Center in New York.

Activities begin this evening in Pennsylvania where a bagpiper will honor the Flight 93 victims in a memorial at 7 p.m. The group will ride through Pennsylvania into Maryland Friday, stopping in Hagerstown. They will be in Arlington, VA, by evening.
