Police Officers First Class Harold Nichols and Marlon Carey were chosen in January as Prince George's police Officers of the Month for police District II.

Here's what the Prince George's Police Department said about Nichols and Carey:

Police Officers First Class Harold Nichols and Marlon Carey were called to a restaurant on Campus Way South Dec. 5 for the report of drug activity.  On scene, the officers spotted two men inside the restaurant who they tried to leave when they saw the police. Nichols and Carey stopped the men for further investigation and patted them down.

The two officers recovered a fully loaded weapon from one suspect and suspected marijuana from both suspects. They arrested both men. Nichols and Cary conducted a follow up search inside the restaurant and recovered three additional large plastic bags with 127 grams of marijuana, having a street value of $2500.
