Police Officer John Quarless is January's Officer of the Month for Police District I.


Police Officer John Quarless was chosen in January as Prince George's police officer of the month for police District I.

Here's what the Prince George's Police Department said about Quarless:
On Dec. 4, Police Officer John Quarless spotted a car without its headlights on. While trying to conduct a traffic stop, he noticed the driver throw an object out of the driver’s side window. Quarless arrested the driver, who police say is a known gang member. Quarless also recovered the object he saw thrown, which turned out to be a revolver and ammunition.
