Thieves Smash Car into Gas Station Window, Grab ATM

Police are investigating the smash-and-grab in Fort Washington.

The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating the theft of an entire ATM from a gas station in Fort Washington.

At about 3:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, police were dispatched to the Exxon Mobil gas station in the 10800 block of Indian Head Highway for a report of a theft, police said. The investigation revealed that two suspects crashed a dark-colored pickup truck through the front of the gas station and then loaded the ATM into the truck's bed before the suspects drove off, according to police.

Police are trying to determine if this theft is connected with another ATM heist which occurred later on in Washington, DC.
