Police Looking for Frederick Scott

Scott, who is wanted for murder, was accidentally released from an Upper Marlboro jail.

County police officers are looking for alleged murder suspect Frederick Lawrence Scott after they accidentally set him free due to a clerical error this past spring.

In March, Scott allegedly shot Phillip Watson to death along the 4700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Edmonston. After the police obtained a murder warrant for Scott’s arrest, he was captured in Las Vegas and extradited to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro on no-bond status.

However, Scott was reportedly given bond due to a clerical error and released from jail. The police realized the error on Friday, according to a press release.
