Police Look for Suspect in Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery

Prince George's County Police are looking for a man suspected in an attempted murder and armed robbery in Capitol Heights.

Police said 21-year-old Franklin Eugene Hunter, of Southeast DC, has been identified as the suspect. Hunter has tattoos on his face and both of his forearms, police said.

According to the report, officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1200 block of Elfin Avenue in Capitol Heights around 5 p.m. on May 7. The two victims told police they were walking down the avenue when they were approached by two suspects. One suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victims' property, police reported, but one of the victims tried to run away and he was shot in the leg when he tried to jump a fence.

The second suspect then hit the remaining victim in the face with an unknown object, police said, and then both suspects ran away.
