Police continue to investigate the , spending much of Thursday evening going door-to-door to talk to neighbors.
According to police, they found Amber Stanley fatally shot in her home in the 100 block of Chartsey Street Wednesday night.
Police told The Washington Post that an intruder broke into the home, went into Stanley's bedroom and shot her multiple times.
Other people were home at the time, according to the Post, but they were not injured.
Prince George's County police tweeted Thursday asking their followers to help them crack the case. They still have no suspect or motive for Stanley's killing.
Stanley was a honor student at Charles H. Flowers High School in Springdale who recently started her senior year. According to her principal Gorman Brown, she had dreams of attending Harvard University and pursuing a career as a doctor, WUSA9 reported.
