Man Arrested in Upper Marlboro Bank Robbery Had No Weapon

The man was arrested at his home and admitted involvement, police said.

A greater Upper Marlboro man was arrested at his home on Wednesday in connection with a bank robbery and admitted his involvement, Prince George's police said.

Robert Alonzo Robinson, 43, of the 3500 block of Eyre Drive South, allegedly approached a teller and passed a note demanding money at a Sun Trust Bank in greater Upper Marlboro on Feb. 15, police said.

The suspect did not have a weapon nor threaten to have a weapon when he robbed the bank, according to Officer Nicole Hubbard, Prince George's County Police spokeswoman.

The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, located in the 5700 block of Crain Highway, according to police.

Robinson is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
