Jury Selection Begins in Jason Scott Murder Trial

The ex-UPS worker is on trial for the 2009 slayings of Deloris Dewitt and her daughter, Ebony Dewitt in Largo.

Jury selection in the murder trial of 28-year-old Jason Scott—previously sentenced to 100 years in prison on federal home invasion, child pornography, and firearms charges—was set to begin Monday in Upper Marlboro.

In 2010, Scott was indicted by a Prince George's County grand jury on seven counts, including two charges of premeditated murder in the 2009 deaths of Largo residents Deloris Dewitt and her daughter, Ebony Dewitt.

The bodies of the Dewitts were found burning in a car not far from their home, according to The Washington Post
