Hit-and-Run Investigated in Oxon Hill

Two pedestrians were standing along Oxon Hill Road when a gray car hit them and fled the scene, according to police.

Prince George’s County police officers are looking for the driver of a gray compact car that hit two pedestrians in Oxon Hill on Friday.

At about 7 a.m., police officers were called to the 6200 block of Oxon Hill Road to investigate the accident. Upon their arrival, police found a 55-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman suffering from collision-related injuries. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to a preliminary investigation, the pedestrians were standing in the center turn lane when the gray car hit them and fled the scene. County police officers are seeking information from anyone who may have been in the area during the hit-and-run incident.
