Former Cop Flouts Fraud Laws, Lives Lavishly

Brandywine resident Jamell Stallings was found guilty of multiple charges related to stealing her brother's identity.

Former Metro Police Officer and Brandywine resident Jamell Stallings, 46, has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after being found guilty of counterfeiting, identity fraud and theft in February 2013.

“Police officers take an oath to serve and protect the citizens of the jurisdictions in which they work,” Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said in a statement.  “Ms. Stallings not only violated that oath, she went even lower by taking advantage of her own brother to live a lavish lifestyle.”

According to the state’s attorney’s office, Stalling stole the social security number of her brother, Ronald Greene, and used it to take out multiple loans from Navy Federal Credit Union in his name. She also created fraudulent Wj-2 forms for places where Green had never been employed.
