DC Resident Dies After Fight in Fort Washington

Elijah Muhammad Turner was assaulted during a fight on Saturday.

Prince George's County police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred this past weekend in Fort Washington.

At roughly 2:20 a.m. Saturday, patrol officers responded to the 13000 block of Pendleton Street for a fight at a large party. When the officers arrived, they found that the crowd was gone. Then they were called to a local hospital for an assault report. Once they arrived, officers were told that Elijah Muhammad Turner, of the 4000 block of 13th Street SE in Washington, was driven to the hospital after suffering a severe head injury as a result of the fight.

Turner was pronounced dead at 10:30 a.m., Monday. Detectives are working to find suspects and a motive in this case.
