UPDATE: Woman Arrested in Chemical Attack Gets Plea Deal

As part of the agreement, Tikia Anderson must testify against Tamara Jackson.

UPDATE, 3:30 p.m. -- Tikia Anderson, 30, of Greenbelt, has entered a plea deal with Prince George's County law officials, after being charged with first-degree assault for throwing a dangerous liquid substance on a woman and her child in an Oxon Hill parking lot last year. The woman and the child sustained serious injuries.

According to the State's Attorney office, Anderson conspired with Tamara Jackson in the assault. The woman was dating Jackson’s former boyfriend. Jackson was arrested yesterday and is being held without bond.

As part of Anderson's plea deal, she will testify against Jackson and face eight years in prison. If she refuses to testify, her sentence could increase to 35 years in prison. Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 16.

On March 29, Jackson and Anderson drove together to Oxon Hill and waited in a parking lot for the woman to arrive.

When the woman arrived, Jackson removed a brown paper bag from her purse and poured a liquid from it into a metal cup. Concerned that the victim would recognize her, Jackson asked Anderson to throw the liquid at the woman.

Anderson complied and the liquid hit the woman and her daughter in the face and body. Both victims immediately started screaming as the two suspects drove away.
