DC Police Officer Fatally Shot in Upper Marlboro

Prince George's County Police said the shooting may have been related to a domestic dispute.

A District of Columbia police officer was fatally shot in an Upper Marlboro home Monday night, according to Prince George's County Police spokespeople via Twitter.

According to tweets, PGPD responded to the scene of a fatal shooting at a home in the 6700 block of Green Moss Drive just after 9 p.m.

The shooting may have been related to a domestic dispute, PGPD Communications Director Julie Parker tweeted.

As of 11:30 p.m., Parker reports that the county police's Special Operations Division is on the scene, after police believed the suspect may still be inside the home.
