County Seat Belt Initiative to Launch in Oxon Hill

Police officers taking zero tolerance approach to enforcing seat belt laws.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is partnering with the Maryland State Highway Administration for the "Nighttime Seat Belt Enforcement Project," according to county police information.

As a part of the national Click It or Ticket campaign -- from now until the end of May -- police officers are taking a zero tolerance approach to enforcing seat belt laws. More than 60 special night time operations will be held at various locations throughout Prince George’s County.

The initiative begins 9 p.m. Friday at National Harbor in Oxon Hill.
