Car Seat Check in Clinton Friday

Prince George's County Police will be on hand to check car seat installations Friday in Clinton, MD.

 

New parents can have Prince George's County police officers check the safety of their car seat installation Friday at 11 a.m. in Clinton.

Police will be available in the Woodyard Crossing Shopping Center parking lot near Arby's at 8923 Woodyard Road.

The service is free and open to the public. Certified technicians will be available to identify brands recalled and also to ensure the car seats and booster seats have been installed correctly. They will also check to see that the harness is correct for the child.

The Prince George's Community Federal Credit Union, which will partner with PGPD, will replace the first five car seats that technicians identify as recalled or unsafe.
